We collect as little as we can, use it only to run the marketplace, and never sell it. Here's exactly what that means.
1. What we collect
Account details: your name, email, and password (stored hashed — we never see it). Favorites you save are linked to your account so they follow you between visits.
Seller submissions: item details, photos, your location (city and state), and your email so we can send review outcomes and sale notifications.
Support conversations: your name, email, and the messages you send us, kept with the ticket so we have context if you come back.
Waitlist and drop alerts: just your email and where you signed up from.
2. What we don't collect
We don't run third-party advertising trackers, we don't sell or rent your information to anyone, and we don't collect payment card numbers on our servers — payments are handled by our payment processor.
3. How we use it
To run the marketplace: reviewing and publishing listings, notifying you about your submissions and sales, holding and releasing payments, and resolving disputes.
To communicate: transactional email about your account, listings, orders, and support tickets. Drop alerts only if you signed up for them, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
4. Where it lives
Your data is stored with Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) and transactional email is delivered through Resend. Both process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Listing photos you submit become part of a public listing if accepted — cropped and background-cleaned, but visible to anyone browsing the site.
5. Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you signed in. We don't run advertising pixels and we don't track you across other sites.
6. Analytics
We use privacy-focused analytics to understand aggregate traffic: how many people visit, which pages they land on. This is reported in aggregate and isn't used to build a profile of you. If we add analytics that set their own cookies, we'll update this policy before turning them on.
7. Your choices
You can delete your account anytime in Account → Settings → Delete account (also available as a shortcut in the installed app). Deletion removes your profile, favorites, and sign-in details; live listings are withdrawn; sold pieces stay in transaction records but are unlinked from your account.
You can also ask us to export or delete your account data through the Help Center or Support.
8. Mobile apps
The souQsy iOS and Android apps use the device camera and photo library when you submit listing photos, and may use the system share sheet when you share a listing. Permission prompts explain each use. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising in the apps.
9. Children
souQsy isn't for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you're 13 to 17, a parent or guardian needs to agree to our Terms and stay responsible for your account. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll say so on the site or by email before the change takes effect, and you'll be asked to review and accept the updated policy before continuing to use your account.
